Percussionist and Singer, graduated with honors  in Musicology with a degree thesis in Ethnomusicology: "Tambourine techniques in Salento and comparisons with Campania and Calabria".

During his studies he had the opportunity to meet Massimo Carrano (among the most popular multi-percussionists in Italy and beyond) and Fabrizio Aiello (percussionist of the jazz player Stefano Di Battista). Mainly self-taught, his approach to rhythm and percussion is instinctive and imitative.

Founder of the group Progetto Migala which focuses on the diverse influences that make up the traditional music of southern Italy; their album World 'n' Folk Music (2014) won the "Battle of the Bands" contest at the World Music Network in the UK. Rockit Tutta Roba Italiana defined the album: "A mixture of genres that tries to break down racial walls and differences in language and dialect and does so with instruments [...], all masterfully animated by the band. It is enthusiastic, engaging music, that pervades the veins, the blood boils and you dance. It is as if the sounds of VINICIO CAPOSSELA and the MUNICIPALE BALCANICA were having a coffee with Eugenio Bennato's Taranta Power movement."

 

He has played with: Progetto Migala, Tarantella Underground, Senzaterra, Progetto Satyria, Fratelli Semeraro, Domenico Celiberti, Annamaria Bagorda, Massimiliano Felice, Rino Inchingolo (former member of Officina Zoè), Marcello Piccioni, Nando Citarella and Tamburi del Vesuvio, Companion of the Popular Ballet directed by Roberta Parravano, Beppe Capozza, Reza Mohsenipour, Hamid Mohsenipour, Solmaz Peymaei, Babak Taghikhani, Gabriele Panico and Popoli Orchestra (which included Alla Bua, Redi Hasa - Cello Notte Della Taranta, Antonio Marra - Drummer Notte Della Taranta, etc ...), Tomma Tommë (with Massimiliano Morabito), Davide Conte (Scantu De Core), Gabriele Caporuscio , Marco Madana Rufo, Maria Serena De Masi, Gianluca Zammarelli, Walter Silvestrelli, Fabio Guandalini, Lavinia Mancusi, Luigi Ferracci, Sherif Fares, Evandro Dos Reis, Coletivo Do B igode, Andrea Marchesino, Mephitis Ensemble, Marta Dell'Anno, Sara Marini, Paola Bivona, Pietro Nicosia, Mario Pio Mancini, Maurizio Catania, Indaco, Unnaddarè, etc ...

Since summer 2015 he collaborates with the Band Newpoli coming from Boston and with musicians from Berklee College who reproduce - in the States - the traditional musical repertoire of Central - Southern Italy.

Member of the Marching Band Akuna Matata from 2015 to 2017 with whom he plays in Summer 2016 at Rock In Roma for the opening of the Orchestraccia concert and at the Show STAMP Festival in Hamburg.

From 2017 he joined the musical group and samba bateria Mistura Maneira directed by Dario Mattia. With this formation he participates in the Mannarino concert in Rock in Rome in July 2017.

In the jazz music, he has collaborated with the pianist Paolo Pavan and with the guitarist Massimo Bognetti.


In the songwriting and Rock he has collaborated with singer Raffaella Daino, leader of the Pivirama group.

In 2019 with the group Mephitis Ensemble he has played for the Ep "Piccola Raccolta di Brani Mortali" dedicated to the Ansanto Valley in Irpinia. In this same Valley the group - in the summer of 2019 - represents the music in theatrical form under the direction of Igor Geat and the actor Claudio Spadaro. In 2020 he has played with Mephitis Ensemble and the collaboration of Antonello Iannotta for the tune "Tarantella".

At the MusicaNova Association she attended a Musical Training course for children 0-5 years old.

 

He attended the 3-day VMC Drum Circle Facilitator Training with Harshil Filippo Chiostri.

 

He attended the Sound Technician Training Course at Forma-Tec with the Teachers of the Absonant Training Center.

It collaborates with schools and associations for musical preparatory work for children aged 3 to 11 and for children in middle and high schools.


He teaches percussion, cajon, tambourine and tammorra in Rome at associations, schools, etc ... for adults.

Currently engaged in the group Progetto Migala, Zafarán, Gimbo Musica, Paola Bivona, Zenìa and musical proposals with world music, folk and ethno jazz sounds.
